Aviation Adventure Routes was started by a group of airplane owners in the Northeast who were bored with your typical $100 hamburger runs. Local trips were put together and grew into bigger and bigger trips. Now we want to share those trips with you.

A lifetime of adventure travel and a passion for flying makes Ryan a great resource for all aspects of trip planning. Ryan has visited over 30 countries and every state in the USA. The hook for adventure came on a motorcycle tour of the USA at age 20. With very little money to spend, finding cheap overnights, discrete camping, and roughing it was the theme. From there, Ryan started a business planning offroad and adventure travel routes for 4×4 vehicles and giving instruction in overland travel as well as guided tours throughout New England. The business was sold around 2010 when he left New England and drove a Land Rover Defender from NH to Colombia, South America, through Mexico and Central America. In Panama he assisted running a hostel and vehicle shipping/coordination service for travelers going from Panama to Colombia. From there, Ryan moved around the US for a while before moving back to Maine. Always looking for adventure and adrenaline, you can be sure that any trips that Ryan recommends are packed with excitement.
